The
Khmer language school has formally started this year.
It has been accredited by the Victorian Ministry of
Education. The school is a member of the Ethnic School
Association of Victoria. It has a population of 120
children and five language teachers. It has its own
library and resource centre. The library and the resource
centre is open to public who wish to improve their knowledge
in Khmer language and Buddhism. Resources in Buddhism
are in Khmer and in English languages.
Informal
gathering of Khmer language teachers
This Buddharangsi Temple Khmer Language School is planning
to call an informal meeting of all Khmer language teachers
currently teaching the language from all the states
in Australia. The temple will sponsor this activity
by providing accommodation to participants from other
states. The main purpose of the meeting is to share
resources, teaching experiences, and to study the current
language syllabus used in different centres.
