year is the year of the Pig, Buddhist Era 2551
General Information
The Cambodian New Year celebrations will
be held for three days starting from Friday 13th April
2007 to Sunday 15th April 2007 at Wat Buddhrangsi Melbourne,
159 Clarke Road, Springvale South Vic 3172. Over 5,000
Cambodians are expected to come and celebrate this traditional
and cultural event.

(Evening) - The traditional celebration and Buddhist

(Morning) - The celebration and Buddhist ceremony

(Afternoon) - Building of sand mounts, cultural and
traditional games
(Evening) - Live Cambodian band, traditional foods and
games amusement

Morning) - The celebration before Maha Sangkran, New
Year Day: Receiving Tevada Chnam Tmey (New Year Spirit)
(Afternoon) - Dedicate the sand mounts to the spirit,
cultural and traditional games
